Is cavity treatment changing? To be honest, yes it is. Much of it you can do on your own. Bet you didn't know that, did you? Yes, you do still need regular checkups and visits to an Oklahoma City dentist, but most of the steps you can take on yourself.
Let's take a look, shall we?
1) Have you been experiencing some tooth sensitivity, as of late? This is also not a trick question. It could be nothing. But it could also be something. If your mouth feels extra sensitive with hot and cold, then this could be a sign that something needs to be treated. If the sensitivity happens every so often, I really wouldn't worry about it too much. But if it is happening on a daily basis, that is another thing.
2) Many dentists are giving fluoride treatments these days. These treatments are done in the early stages. They practically repair themselves. In the past, you needed to drill and drill, in order to combat a cavity of any kind. With technology the way it is, you don't need to do all that. A fluoride treatment works just as well. But you need to catch it early on.
3) Filings also do the trick. These are known as permanent dental restoration on the damaged part of the tooth. These will also stop the cavity from progressing any more then it already has.
There are other options that the dentist can give you too. But fi you wish to do this all yourself, you do have options. Let's explore some.
1) Limit the amount of phytic acid you ingest. This can be found in foods such as nuts, seeds and grains. Yes, these are all good and healthy for you. But did you know that these also have a negative affect on your teeth and bones? It's true. Don't eat as much of these items.
2) Re-mineralize the mouth. You can do this with a toothpaste or a mouth wash. Either way, focus on doing a little of this every so often. It will go along way.
3) Eat multi-vitamins. You don't need to over-indulge, that is silly. Just take the recommended dose and you'll be fine. For more information about this, go online.
Hey, very nice site. I came across this on Google, and I am stoked that I did. I will definitely be coming back here more often. Wish I could add to the conversation and bring a bit more to the table, but am just taking in as much info as I can at the moment. Thanks for sharing.
